FAQ’s - Ordering and purchasing art and prints

If you would like to know more about ordering and purchasing art from my shop or from me direct, I hope these FAQ's help. If you don't come across the answer you need, drop me a message.

How do I order a commission or personal piece of art?
You can visit my shop where you will be able to order or contact me directly to discuss the piece you would like me to produce for you and I can quote for the work.

How can I explore further examples of your artwork?
You can visit my shop here www.ellieloveartist.com  where you can review a range of examples, art, prints and products to buy. I can also supply images of other artwork so please just get in touch, and I'm on Instagram and Facebook so you can always pop over to my handle @ellielovettartist and explore more visuals there.

Do you ship outside of the UK?
Yes, I provide national and international shipping.

How do you produce portraits?
Portraits of pets and people are taken from a photo reference. Once you have made your order you can send these to me via messaging me directly. Again, if you're unsure which photo or want to discuss a montage of more than one photo, as a portrait, that is absolutely fine, and we can discuss what works best to bring all the elements together.

Are orders and commissioned art tracked?
Yes, you will be notified of orders if they are processed through my shop. And if you come directly to me for personal commissions, I will keep you updated on the process from start to finish. Any orders are sent with postal tracking so you can ensure visibility of the dispatch process.

How long does it take to produce commissioned artwork?
It depends on what is being produced. Bigger more detailed pieces will take longer, as will canvas paintings. For personal pieces, it is worth having a conversation first to discuss timeframes and what you would like producing.

How are your illustration montages created? What's the process?
If you are thinking of an illustration that brings together multiple images and elements, it’s always a good idea to discuss this first as these pieces are very personal and require some thought before I begin sketching it out. Usually, I will ask for copies of the images, a list of places or memorable moments, and any phrases you want including. From this I can then give you an idea of size, pricing and what I think visually would work. I will then work on producing a sketch, which I will send on, and then move to producing the final piece.

Do you gift wrap?
Yes absolutely, I can gift wrap any personal work or purchases for you. These will be wrapped in tissue paper, with brown recycled string tied with a sprig of lavender in the middle, with a note from me, or if you want me to add a note from you, I can do that too. It's then boxed or wrapped with brown recycled paper. The art will then be wrapped in bubble wrap, and wrapping to secure it through transit.

Can you send directly to another address if this is supplied?
Absolutely. If you let me know the address this wants to be sent to, I will ensure this is the address that is used to dispatch to.

How are canvases shipped?
Paintings on canvas can either be rolled or wrapped and boxed on the frame. Let me know which you would prefer and I will confirm any changes in the shipping price.
